Many out-of-print books about World War I are already available on the World Wide Web free of charge.  Unfortunately, many of them are PDF files that are hard to read and/or have restricted access (for example, to those with rights to university or other libraries).  Some that have been converted to e-book format have not been proofread and are not really worth the trouble.  However, the Gutenberg Project has a large selection of works proofread by volunteers and available to all.  Below are the links.Western Front (France and the Low Countries)
